Donald Atkins recipient 

Don is a 38yr old and has been on dialysis for 2 1/2 years and is in desperate need of a kidney. He works full time as a local truck driver while doing dialysis 4 times a week at home for 3 1/2 hours each time. Dons wife, Melissa, does his dialysis at home allowing him to continue working, while she also works full time. They have 2 children Kayla 23 and Kayden 17, graduating in 2026. 

This past June (2025) his chest catheter needed to be replaced and unfortunately it resulted in an infection. The infection went to his heart and he needed open heart surgery to get the infection off his heart before it spread more. 

These past almost 3 years have taken a real toll on Don and our family. We are desperately seeking a living donor!. You dont have to match blood types and you only need 1 kidney to live a full healthy life!
